26TH MAY 2022
So this is a new page on the website. I thought I would try and make it easy for viewers and readers to locate the latest news. I will either put the news in this section or, if it is easier, I will update the relevant web page and signpost you to it from here.
I hope people like the updated look of the website. As some of you may know, due to Covid and illness I have had some spare time on my hands, so, rather than annnoying the Long Haired Admiral (the wife) I thought I would put my time to good use and update the site.
We are working with an organisation that takes under graduate students and pairs them with organisations such as ours, non profit making bodies, and offers a free website building service using the latest Wordpress technology. We have taken advantage of that facility and we currently have two students working on our web site design and we hope that we can present that to you, here, in the near future. In the meantime it’s still me bumbling around in web design software hoping that I can produce a somewhere near presentable website.
It is currently a fairly quiet time for the committee although the organisation of the 2023 reunion still carries on in the background. Steve and I were due to go to Derby this coming weekend, 26th and 27th of May, to hold the final planning meeting with the events staff, however, due to my current health problems I have had to cry off. Steve, however, is still travelling from Devon to Derby to make those final arrangements and I am very grateful to him for all the efforts he puts in with regard to organising our very successful reunions. Mention must also go to his long suffering wife, Katrina, who puts up with him spending hours working on behalf of The Association.
If you have anything you would like to be included in The Blog then please e mail your item to us.
So, till the next update to the blog, stay well, stay happy, stay drunk if you have to but whatever you do, don’t forget to plan your attendance at the 2023 reunion, details of which are on the reunion page
All the best
